Inter-Provincial Education Minister’s conference held on Monday decided about the closure of schools. The meeting was chaired by Federal Minister for Education, Shafqat Mehmood. It was decided that all educational institutions in the country be closed from 26 November: Shafqat Mehmood.

All educational institutions including schools, colleges, universities, and coaching centers will be closed from November 26. The classes will be taught online, said the Federal Minister. The institutions where the online system is not feasible will assign homework to students. The COVID holidays will end on 25th December. Starting from 25th December till 10 January, there will be winter holidays. The institutions will reopen on 11th January 2020. The board exams have been shifted from March to May.
The schools were closed in March earlier this year, due to COVID 19. The schools are again being closed to 2nd wave of COVID in the country, According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 2756 persons tested COVID positive in the past 24 hours. 34 deaths have been caused due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
