Islamabad: with strict implementation of Covid-19 standard operation procedures (SOPs).
The decision was taken during a meeting of the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC), presided over by Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood. The meeting was attended by all provincial education ministers as well as different secretaries via video link, said a statement issued after the meeting.
Initially, the exams of grade 10 and 12 will begin from the 3rd week of June. Then, the exams for the remaining classes will be conducted. It was decided that this year all exams will be conducted. No one will be promoted without exams.
Earlier, on May 5, IPEMC had rejected the proposal to promote 9th and 11th-grade students and to conduct examinations of only optional subjects for class 10th and 12th. However, it was agreed in principle to conduct the examinations in two phases due to the prevailing Covid-19 situation in the country.
