Directorate of Curriculum and Teacher Education (DCTE) has prepared a new Syllabus for SSC Part I & Part II, 9th, and 10th Class for the Academic Year 2020-21. The syllabus for Matric Class has been reduced due to COVID-19 across the country. All the school colleges remained closed for about six months. So the DCTE decided to reduce the syllabus for 9th and 10th Classes so that students can easily prepare for the upcoming exams to be held in 2021.
The Annual Boards Examination shall be conducted by KPK Boards as per this smart syllabus. The Smart syllabus is valid for All KPK including the BISE Mardan, BISE Malakand, BISE Abbottabad, BISE Swat, BISE Bannu, BISE Kohat, BISE Peshawar, BISE Kohat Board.

Previously the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, PCTB also took a similar initiative, and Accelerated Learning Programme ALP was announced. The ALP syllabus for Classes 1 to 8, Matric and Intermediate have been announced.
