LAHORE: UET Lahore’s combined entrance test for admission to public sector engineering institutions of Punjab will start from Monday (today). The ECAT 2021 is scheduled to be held from 5th to 8th July.
A UET spokesperson said that around 33,649 students had applied for the entrance test while 112 centers had been set up for students. This year the engineering colleges admission test (ECAT) will be computerized at Virtual University (VU) centers. As the test is computerized, no answer keys will be issued this year. The result of the ECAT will be probably be announced right after 8th July.

ECAT is an acronym for Engineering College Admission Test. ECAT is a combined entry test conducted each year by the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore from candidates applying for admission in BE/BS/B.Sc Engineering degree programs. The Combine Entry Test ECAT is valid for UET Lahore, UET Taxila, their Affiliated Colleges, Punjab University Engineering College, Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), and other government universities of Punjab.
