In the notification issued by the government of Punjab on 20th December 2021, the winter vacations for educational institutions across Punjab will take place in two phases.
In the first phase, all public and private schools in 24 districts of Punjab will remain closed from 23rd December 2021 to 6th January 2022. These 24 districts include Kasur, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Pakpattan, Sheikupura, Okara, Vehari, Khanewal, Lahore, Khushab, Hafizabad, Multan, Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Sargodha, Mandi Bahuddin, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, and Jhang.
In the second phase, as per NCOC instructions, the winter vacations of the remaining 12 districts will be from 3rd January 2022 till 13th January 2022. These 12 districts are Jhelum, Mianwali, Attock, Muzzafargarh, Chakwal, Bhakkar, Rawalpindi, Rajanpur, Layyah, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Chiniot.
